Tide Turns in O's Favor

Both teams waited out four rain delays totalling nearly four hours, but it was the Orioles that came out on top Wednesday night, as they defeated the visiting Minnesota Twins 4-1 at Camden Yards.

O's starter Mark Hendrickson lasted three innings, and allowed no runs and just one hit while striking out two. Due to MLB rules, Hendrickson was unable to pick up the win...

Nick Markakis and Luke Scott provided all the offense the Birds would need...Markakis went 2-for-3 and slapped a 2-run shot in the first inning. Scott went 2-for-2 with an RBI single in the first and a solo shot of his own in the fourth.

Reliever Brian Bass was credited with the win...Bass pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed one run on four hits while walking one and striking out four.

The Birds conclude the 2-game series against the Twins later tonight...Brad Bergesen takes the mound for the home team...Go O's!!

O' Yeah...
