O's Win Thanks to Jones, 'Pen

The O's came from behind, twice, to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-5 Tuesday night at Camden Yards.

In both comebacks, it was Adam Jones that put the Birds ahead...Jones hit a solo homer in the first inning to give the O's a short-lived 1-0 lead, and then connected again in the second with a 3-run blast that gave the Orioles a 6-5 lead that they would never relinquish.

O's starter Mark Hendrickson lasted just two innings, giving up five runs on six hits and a walk. After Jones' shot gave the Birds the lead, Dave Trembley decided to go to the bullpen, which pitched seven scoreless innings...Brian Bass took the win and George Sherrill was credited with his sixth save.

The Birds can sweep the Rays Wednesday night and climb out of last place in the division...Brad Bergesen looks for his second win of the season...Go O's!!

O' Yeah...
  • Luuuuuuke Scott should be fine and won't be placed on the 15-day DL
  • No official word yet, but Hendrickson's performance may mean Rich Hill is called up to take his place in the rotation this weekend...
  • Adam Jones hit two homers in a game for the first time in his career, and his eight dingers leads the team

  3. Mr. Snrub,
Thanks for reading! I love to get comments from fans...looks like Pie is ok after his 2-for-2 night! My fiance told me he left the game with "diarreah," so I figured he'd be fine in a day and saw no reason to post that...

Geoff...O Yeah! Hopefully we can win on the road...
