Five and Counting...

The O's lost again on Saturday night, falling 7-2 to the Boston Red Sox.

Starter Jeremy Guthrie surrendered his 23rd homer of the season in the first inning, a 3-run blast off the bat of David Ortiz, and that was all the run support the Sox would need. Guthrie (7-9) lasted 6 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits while walking three and striking out two.

Both the Sox and the O's banged out ten hits in the game; the Birds struck out ten times and stranded ten runners on base.

The O's are now a season-worst 14 games under .500 and have gone 1-7 on the current road trip, which mercifully concludes on Sunday afternoon. David Hernandez (2-2) will try to give the Orioles their first win at Fenway Park this season...Go O's!

O' Yeah...
