Bats, Bullpen back Bergesen

Deja Vu all over again? Not this time...the O's rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Rangers 8-5 Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards.

It seemed so eerily familiar...starter Brad Bergesen made it through four innings and gave up three home runs...he left with the O's trailing 5-1. Just yesterday, Mark Hendrickson left the game in the fifth inning with the Birds down 6-1....Hendrickson allowed four home runs...

Today, Danys Baez came on in relief...he pitched three innings of shutout ball, allowing no hits and striking out three. Yesterday, it was Brian Bass that gave the O's offense a chance to get back in the game...

That's where the similarities end...the Orioles lost on Saturday night; they won today. The top of the O's order came to life, and the Birds snapped a two-game losing streak.

Brian Roberts, Adam Jones and Nick Markakis combined to go 9-for-12 with two walks and six RBIs. Roberts hit his second homer of the season, a solo shot in the fifth, and Jones' 3-run blast in the sixth gave the O's a lead they would never relinquish. Markakis extended his hitting streak to 13 games...

The Birds look to even the four-game series Monday night...Jeremy Guthrie takes the mound...Go O's!!!!

O' Yeah...
