Welcome Home, O's

The O's snapped a five-game losing streak on Tuesday night, beating the Seattle Mariners 3-1 at Camden Yards.

I had front-row seats for the game, and it was great to see the Birds win a game! O's starter Brad Bergesen pitched a gem, allowing just five hits over eight innings while walking none and fanning six.

On Melvin Mora T-shirt night, I predicted he would go deep...it looked like I called it in the first inning, when Mora launched a 2-run shot to left field. The umps reviewed the call, though, (first time in Camden Yards' history) and ruled that Mora was out due to fan interference.

Still, the Birds managed a run in the first and Nolan Reimold padded the lead with a solo home run in the fifth and an RBI single in the sixth...George Sherrill allowed a run in the ninth but managed to pick up his 12th save.

Jeremy Guthrie looks to keep the momentum going later tonight...Go O's!!
