The Birds will come limping home after getting beat 7-3 by Roy Halladay and the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.
Brian Matusz, making just his second career start, couldn't make it out of the third inning...Matusz (1-1) gave up five runs on seven hits (three were home runs) in 2 2/3 innings...he walked two and struck out one.
The offense tagged Halladay for two runs in the first thee innings and added another run in the sixth, but that was all the scoring they could manage against Toronto's ace.
The Birds return home and square-off against the Oakland A's on Monday night at Camden Yards...Jeremy Guthrie takes the mound...Go O's!
