Starter Adam Eaton was unimpressive yet again...he lasted just four innings and was charged with the loss. Eaton gave up six runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out four. The bullpen looked strong, though...Brian Bass, Chris Ray and Jim Johnson combined for four innings of shutout relief and allowed just three hits.
The 'pen kept putting up zeroes but the offense only managed to break through against Boston's ace Josh Beckett in the fifth inning, scoring four runs...Aubrey Huff had a 2-run double. That was all the O's could manage against the Sox...
Game three of the four-game series starts later this afternoon...Koji Uehara looks for his third win of the season...the Birds need to win the next two games to avoid losing the series...go O's!
O'Yeah...
- Don't worry...Matt Wieters is ok!
- It's taken Adam Eaton 193 pitches to get through eight innings in his first two starts
- Nick Markakis leads the majors with 16 RBIs
- It looks like Brad Bergesen will be promoted and start Tuesday for the O's
